The Christian authors of Hebrews 8 does not foreshadow Jesus and the New Covenant, as Christianity thinks. Hebrews 8 takes Jeremiah 31 completely out of context which is easily seen by looking at the surrounding verses in Jeremiah. This article will show you that the New Covenant is in the End Days, and was not at the time of Jesus.
Look at the following passages of scripture.
Jeremiah 31:26 Behold days are coming, says the Lord, and I
will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the
seed of man and seed of beasts.
27 And it shall be, as I have watched over them to uproot and
to break down, to demolish and to destroy and to afflict, so
will I watch over them to build and to plant, says the Lord.
Here we see that Jeremiah 31:26 refers to the future for it the prophet Jeremiah that He Will sow the house of Israel and
the house of Judah with the seed of man. Sowing means that
G-d will multiply them in number and they will be numerous.
This is something that will happen in the end days with the
ingathering of the House of Israel and the House of Judah.
Not at the time of Jesus when G-d dispersed, cut down in number, and afflicted the Jews.
Hence G-d putting a new spirit in the heart of ISRAEL was not at the time of Jesus when the Jews were being uprooted from their land, killed, afflicted, and not planted.
The event will occur at the time When G-d sows the House of
Israel and Judah, watches over them to build and to plant and
multiply them in number.
Therefore according to G-d’s WORD & HIS timeline, Christianity never got the “Spirit.”- the New Covenant
Let us continue reading Jeremiah…
Jeremiah 31:28 “In those days, they shall no longer say,
“Fathers have eaten unripe grapes, and the teeth of the
children shall be set on edge.”
29 But each man shall die for his iniquity; whoever eats the unripe grapes- his teeth shall be set on edge.”
What does this show us? That at this time of the new Covenant IN THE FUTURE, people shall no longer say that the father shall pay for the children’s sins but that each man will die for his sins. They will realize that this belief that Jesus died for their sins is false. They will all know that each is responsible for their owns sins before G-d. So the concept of
being redeemed from a pagan human sacrifice, which is the
theme of Christianity, will be universally known as false.
Looking at Jeremiah 31:32 we see that in THE NEW COVENANT the law will be in the HEARTS OF ISRAEL SO THEY NO LONGER SIN. IT will be the same commandments but this time ISRAEL WILL BE OBEDIENT. This happens in the future during the Ingathering.
Jeremiah 31:32 For this is the covenant that I will form with My law in their midst and I will inscribe it upon their hearts,
and I will be their G-d and they shall be My people.
And all will know G-d from Greatest to smallest as we can
see from the following verse.
Jeremiah 31:33 And no longer shall one teach his neighbor or
[shall] one [teach] his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,” for
they shall all know Me from their smallest to their greatest, says the Lord, for I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will
no longer remember.
EVERYONE at that point will know the Lord HE is G-d. There
will be a universal knowledge of G-d in the end days that was
not at the time of Jesus.
So think about it; the fact that these evangelists have been
going around the world for the last 2000 years proves that
everyone does not know G-d! Thus, the new covenant was
not at the time of Jesus.
Now the TORAH is not done away with, obsolete and decayed as Hebrew 8:13 of the Christian New Testament implies.
G-D’S TORAH WILL BE UPON THE HEARTS OF ISRAEL AND THAT IS THE NEW COVENANT.
Ezekiel 11:19 And I shall give them one heart, and a new
spirit I shall place within them, and I shall remove the heart of
stone from their flesh, and I shall give them a heart of flesh.
20In order that they walk in My statutes and keep My laws
and perform them, and they will be My people, and I shall be
their G-d.
G-D’S NEW SPIRIT WITHIN THE HEARTS OF ISRAEL WILL HELP THEM WALK IN HIS STATUTES AND KEEP HIS LAWS AND PERFORM THEM; THEY WILL NOT TRANSGRESS THEM ANYMORE.
Also, in the end, days at the time of the eternal third temple
all the kings of Israel will have a circumcised heart and will no
longer sin against G-d.
Ezekiel 43:7 And He said to me, Son of man, [this is] the feet where I shall dwell in the midst of the Children of Israel forever, and the House of Israel will no longer defile My Holy Name, they and their kings with their harlotry, and with the corpses of their kings in their high places.
Finally, In Malachi 4 in the end days, we see G-D says through the prophet to keep in remembrance the teachings of MOSES SO TORAH LAWS APPLY IN END DAYS.
Malachi 4:1 “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a
furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble,
and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the LORD Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them.
2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness
will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic
like well-fed calves.
3 Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes
under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the
LORD Almighty.
4 “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and
laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.
5 “See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great
and dreadful day of the LORD comes.
6 He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and
the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come
and strike the land with total destruction.”
The Sinai Covenant is an Eternal Covenant
“The covenant that G-d made with the Jews is an eternal
covenant, and it is a covenant made with them, with their
descendants, and with all those who convert to Judaism.
G-d’s promise to the Jews, that His covenant with them is eternal is repeated over and over again throughout the Hebrew Scriptures. Here are just a few examples:
“’And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and
thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting
covenant, to be a G-d unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an
everlasting possession; and I will be their G-d.’ [Bereishit 17:7-8]
“See also Bereishit 17:12-13, Bereishit 17:19. Psalm 105:6-10. I Chronicles 16:13-17.
That the New Covenant will be eternal is also found immediately following the passage of Jeremiah 31:31-34, beginning with the very next verse:
“’Thus saith the Eternal, which giveth the sun for a light by
day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a
light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof
roar; The Eternal of hosts is his name: If those ordinances
depart from before me, saith the Eternal, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.’ [Jeremiah 31:35-36] by Rabbi Stuart Federow “Jeremiah 31:31 speaks of a ‘New covenant.’ But one could ask the question, ‘is this New Covenant a covenant that
replaces any of the covenants that G-d made with the Jews beforehand?
“When G-d makes a New Covenant with the Jews, it is only to re-establish and re-affirm the covenants with the Jews that
came before. The covenant G-d made with Isaac did not replace or break the covenant G-d made with Abraham. The covenant that G-d made with Jacob did not replace or break the covenant G-d made with Isaac or with Abraham. One example of this can be seen in Leviticus 26:42, where the Jews were told in the verses just before verse 42 that when they sin, they will be punished for their sins, but then they are told that G-d’s covenant with them is eternal:
“Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my
covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will
I remember; and I will remember the land. [Leviticus 26:42]
“Had the covenants that G-d made with Isaac and Abraham been made null and void by the covenant G-d made with Jacob, there would have been no need to have specified the covenants G-d had made with Isaac and Abraham in the verse above.
“The covenant that G-d made with the People of Israel through Moses, did not replace or break the covenant G-d made with Jacob, or with Isaac, or with Abraham. Every subsequent covenant that G-d makes with the Jews, re-affirms and re-establishes the covenant that G-d made with the Jews before it.
The Main Divine Purpose underlying the Creation of mankind
This also highlights the Ultimate Divine Purpose based on the
Divine Promise that He will, in the Final Redemption, enter
into a ‘New Covenant’ with those who are elected in the Final
Judgment. Jeremiah 31, Jeremiah 2:14, Zechariah 2:10.
A Purpose of the New Covenant
The astounding Blessing that the New Covenant holds for those who will be found worthy by HaShem in the Final Judgment is the Divine Intention “for Him to ‘dwell in’ an Everlasting Temple” – but with a more intimate relationship and purpose for this indwelling. This reveals to us the Divine Desire to make His Habitation within the bodies (temples) of humans, more specifically: within the bodies of returned exiles of all 12 Tribes of Israel, after the Final Judgment –
logically, for those only who will be found worthy by Him.
Jeremiah 31:30 “The days are coming,” says HaShem, “when
I will make a New Covenant with the House of Israel and with the house of Judah [both Houses of Israel]. I will put My Torah within them and write it on their hearts; I will be their G-d, and they will be My people. 33 (34) No longer will any of them teach his fellow community member or his brother, ‘Know HaShem; for all will know Me, from the least of them to the greatest.”
This is repeated and extended in:
Ezekiel 37:26 “I will make a Covenant of Peace with them, an
everlasting Covenant. I will … set My Sanctuary among them forever. 27 My home will be with them; I will be their G-d, and
they will be my people.”
Ezekiel 11:17 “ … I will gather you from the nations and collect you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give the Land of Israel to you … 19 and I will give them unity of heart. “I will put a new spirit among you.” I will remove from their bodies the hearts of stone and give them hearts of flesh; 20 so that they will live by My
[Torah] Regulations, obey My rulings and act by them. Then
they will be My people, and I will be their G-d.’
Do we realize the awesome implication: that HaShem will
imbue the elected ones fully and totally with His Spirit? Thus,
they will become like Him – fully in His Image now, nothing
less than “Living Torahs” —-‘Elohim’ themselves. This is what
Daniel saw in that Vision that stunned him, beyond belief, that
the Kedushim (Saints, Holy Ones) would become the Ruling
Power of HaShem, and the nations will worship and obey
them (Daniel 7:27).
The End Time will feature the Greatest Historic Event in all of
Israel’s history, when HaShem will receive back into covenant
His Divorced Bride (10-Israel) and her reconciliation with His Banner Tribe of Judah, after a vile Family feud of 2700 years!
